“Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, my Father has blessed you! Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me into your home.

I needed clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ Then the people who have God’s approval will reply to him,

‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you or see you thirsty and give you something to drink?

When did we see you as a stranger and take you into our homes or see you in need of clothes and give you something to wear? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ The king will answer them, ‘I can guarantee this truth: “Whatever you did for one of my brothers or sisters, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me.”

Background

A world saturated with love and compassion is a dream of everybody!  Then why don’t we work for it?

What are the obstacles to its realisation? Why do people quarrel and kill one another? Why do we have poverty? Why do some people suffer while others live in happiness? When homeless people roam around, why do others live in ultimate luxury? How can we discriminate among humans based on religion, colour, social class or financial background? There are many underlying reasons for this, which include greed, selfishness, impatience and intolerance, influence of drugs and alcohol, broken homes, racism, negative influence of media, lack of humanity, unwillingness to share, ignorance and unawareness of human values and our duty to fellowmen. Human beings become devilish, brutal and blind to the sufferings around them which give rise to imbalance in the universe with inequalities resulting in total failure to provide for immediate basic needs such as food, including clean water, shelter and clothing for every individual.

 Vision

WPM is dedicated to stand with courage to help people in the community who deserve compassionate care. This could be one or more of the basic needs, personal care, emotional physical or spiritual support.

We will be dedicated to perform activities such as taking a patient to doctor, paying for their medicine, spend time with  a family in bereavement, providing food, shelter and clothes. We stand together, we grieve together, as human beings and support any individual who deserves compassion and care and help them to turn their suffering into hope for the future.

The area of focus in compassionate care will vary in developing and developed countries, depending on the social, economic, religious and family settings and governmental initiatives.

Developed countries such as America/UK/Europe

Any individual in a peace community who  longs for compassion, such as those who are isolated from community and feel lonely, we will be able to meet and treat them with care and compassion, can spend time with them, sharing the message of God’s love and peace. Support homeless people to find a place to live with the help of local council/local government authorities.

Developing Countries such as Africa/Asia

The main area of concentration will be food including clean water, shelter and clothing, however, we will also be able to support other areas that need compassion.

Action

 Five loaves of bread

The vision of five loaves of bread is derived from the Bible (John 6:1-14). The aim of this program is to eradicate poverty from the world. There should not be anybody who is hungry and cannot eat because of no money or unavailability of food. In some parts of the world people fight for food. They steal and even kill as they lose control out of hunger. This program supplies food for a week. Weekly food stalls open for people who are very poor, they stand in a queue and collect food packages to be able to use for a week.

Opening small shops

to supply cooked food at a small charge, less than the nominal charge. There will be one type of food, available all day.

The quality of  water used should be ensured clean.

 Clothing

Supply clothes for poor people in the community. This could be done in cooperation with charity mission leaders by collecting clothes from people who are willing to donate.

 Shelter

Home for homeless is an initiative to support homeless people. Shelter for refugees and victims who lost their home in natural calamities.

We are

Let us join hands and forge ahead with our programmes for World Peace Mission. The ideal is to work for projects ‘on earth as it is in heaven’. We should notice the spark of divinity in everything and everyone and treat it with due respect and reverence. Feed the hungry, provide drink for the thirsty,  welcome the outsider, protect the privacy of the naked, provide nursing care for the sick and the dying, mark each life on earth and work sincerely for this aim, and to teach it and to inspire others to do the same. World Peace Mission is the stage for this enterprise.
